Pune Photoshoot- A city of cultural heritage

So, While we were sitting in our college cafeteria one day, discussing about the variety of things to do around in Pune as the weekend was nearing, we came up with the idea of doing a photoshoot while we visited some of the best places in Pune. We dint have much time to go out shopping for the outfits so we choose to wear the ones we had in our wardrobe. We found the photoshoot schedule very tiring and hectic but we decided to give it a go. By then we had realised that our car had broken down and had to be serviced. Here was the real challenge of backpacking stuff we needed for the shoot and heading on our scooty. We knew it would be tiring as we had to do a few changes outside which we normally do in our car packed at some random spot(well, not a good idea though). This trip was more like an adventure looking around for places for our outfit change to backpacking, heading on the scooty to our next location. Only photography lovers would understand this. However , whats life without a little twist and fun. It definately must have been a tiring process but today when we look back in time we realise all these precious moments and simply burst out laughing. The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us.

Our first Photoshoot location was SARAS BAUG. This is one of the oldest and very beautifully maintained garden with some spots specially meant for photoshoots. One can also get several props on hire at this place. You will also find some photographers here with instant photography services. our first outfit change for the day was a body hugging mermaid style dress and a blazer with a tee that matched the colour of the mermaid dress. Here a some beautiful poses and pictures from the photoshoot.

Our second location for the day was Shaniwar wada fort. This place has to its credit a lot of cultural heritage. It was the seat of the Peshwas of the Maratha empire. By this time , One of the finest bollywood movies Bajirao Mastani has just released , and well we thought what better than this location. The fort has an entrance gate called dilli darwaza, Palace fountain and a beautiful garden inside. This place is heaven for all the photography lovers for its contruction detailings. We thought of going for a traditional shoot at this location. Our outfits were a lehnga dress and a matching kurti pyjama. We got some of the best shots here at different locations inside the fort. However, this photoshoot took longer than planned as it also has visitors during the daytime. Here’s some pictures from the traditional shoot.

By the time we finished our shoot at Shaniwar wada fort it was late in the afternoon. We had to head to our final location Empress Botanical garden. This place is also one of the best place for a quick hangout. It houses a wide variety of trees and also has a built-in artificial pond. It is also a well maintained and clean spot in Pune. We choose this location for our evening photoshoot. This was a really chilled out location and we thought of wearing some casual comfy clothes. We really enjoyed our shoot here and also got some of the best pictures (some being our most favourites).

Here are some tips to all the photogenic couples:

1)The best time for any photoshoot is morning and evening. However, one must remember that a good photographer can create sunshine and sunset anytime:)

2)Location for the shoot generally depends on the number of themes and outfit changes. Traditional shoots generally go well in royal and heritage places. playful themes can be shot on the streets and gardens.

3)For the outfits, We recommend to wear the best that you feel comfortable in. Avoid using same dresses multiple times.

4)Also, one should avoid bringing in family and friends for a couple shoot. one can get conscious leading to bad photography.

5)Stay in the best mood and rest is up here in our blog:)
